8. What is the purpose of a park? What are your thoughts about parks?
I think that parks have many purposes. A park is a place to go for a walk to clear your head, to have a picnic with your family, to walk your dog, to meet someone to talk, or to run around and play games. Parks can bring peace to someone in need of comfort, they can provide an outlet to someone feeling anxiety, they are a neutral place for serious discussions, and they are a relaxing, intimate place for a family meeting. Parks are the best places for friends to gather and play and laugh together, or for owners to be with their dog in a place them can both enjoy equally. Parks are a place to experience grass, fresh air, relaxation and nature. Parks are a place to sit and take your time being outdoors, to look around at nature or to spend time with someone you love. Parks are a place to connect with the ground beneath your feet, the sky above your head, and the people around you. I think parks are immensely valuable places in this world, especially in cities, as they are an escape from concrete and buildings. They are a place to feel free, to take off your shoes and run around with your dog. Parks provide us with nature and beauty in the middle of a sometimes ugly and industrial city. Walking through a park can often help you to forget about the responsibilities and stresses of daily life.
